PureStep Brushworks

About PureStep Brushworks

We believe growth happens in clear, humane steps—pure steps.

Our story

PureStep Brushworks began as a sketchbook margin: a series of tiny studies stacked into a method. Artists loved the momentum of modular practice—short, deliberate sessions that compound into mastery. We turned those notes into a learning system where each concept is teachable in isolation and powerful in combination.

Today we guide learners through watercolor, acrylic, gouache, and oil with a toolkit of modules: value, edges, color mixing, mark-making, and composition. No gimmicks, no false urgency—just a steady path forward.

Mission

Make painting education accessible, flexible, and rigorous—one focused module at a time. Our promise: clarity, respect for your time, and techniques you can apply the same day.
